Washington Vacation

BRYANT & BRITTANY SUMMER VACATION 2012...
Tuesday 7/24:
Drove ALL day from Rexburg, Idaho --> Seattle, Washington
Note: Taco Del Mar is not on my favorite's list... especially after McDonalds for lunch :o

Wednesday 7/25:
Girls Day Out! Shopping at Bellevue Square. The Forever 21 was much appreciated after being so deprived of it in Rexburg, Idaho. Made some killer deals at Talbots thanks to my lovely sister-in-law, Shannon. I also tried BurgerMaster for the first time - definitely need to go back there again!

Thursday 7/26:
Jumped on trampoline, played racquet ball, made paper roses, etc. Went to dairy queen and Anderson Park with all the sock trees everywhere!

Friday 7/27:
Bryant & I cooked dinner for the whole family. Hawaiian Haystacks - what's not to love?

Saturday 7/28:
More shopping and good finds. $7.00 swimsuit from Value Village!

Sunday 7/29:
Church and Family Dinner. Everyone made fun of our matching shirts...

Monday 7/30:
Shopping at Bellevue Square!
Family Picture with the Hodson's!

Tuesday 7/31:
Day in Seattle! China Town, Japanese Dollar Store, Bookstore, Cream Cheese Hot Dogs, Mariners Game.

Wednesday 8/1:
Bryant and I walked around Kirkland Waterfront. It was a beautiful view and we also stopped to pet bunnies at the pet store! Bryant's brother Brad and his wife from Argentina have finally made it to the states and we were able to witness their sealing inside the Seattle temple. They are now bonded for eternity! It was such a sweet experience, especially hearing it in Spanish. Dairy Queen afterwards to celebrate.

Thursday 8/2:
Blue Angels
Took the Ferry to Bainbridge Island to visit my brother Todd and his adorable family in Poulsbo. They made us delicious chicken, since we are anti-seafood while they ate their salmon.. yuck! We finished the night off with a google hangout with the other siblings and a nice game of Quelf. "And all the brothers and sisters said Amen"

Friday 8/3:
Small hike that lead to a beautiful beach.
Brad & Jimmena's Wedding Reception that evening.

Saturday 8/4:
Railyard Performance at the Redmond Farmer's Market.

5 Good Things

Too many days have gone by of focusing on myself. There are so many things I feel are missing in my life, but I focus too much on those. I want to blog today about the positive things in my life, about what makes me happy and what I am so incredibly blessed with. I live the best life ever, and this is why...

1. My husband loves me.
What a blessing it is to have Bryant in my life. He is everything to me. Although I'm not the best at showing it, I am so appreciative of all his hard work. He is so willing to help those around him. Bryant is incredibly creative and such an inspiration to me. He is my best friend; I love him.

2. I was raised by incredible parents.
My parents have taught me to be hard working, to try my best, and to serve others. They have taught me through their own examples of taking every initiative to help people around them. I've watched them for several years and am still amazed at how much they do and how inspiring they are.

3. I have goals in mind.
It's easy for me to get weary of the future. My mind loses focus of what's important and I start comparing myself easily. Setting goals for myself helps me to see a clear plan of how I can control the things in my life. Not everything can be accomplished all at once, but we all have to start somewhere.

4. It's summertime.
Thank goodness school is about done. It's been an enjoyable semester, but I always look forward to a change of pace. I look forward to picnics with Bryant, more movie nights, more exercise, less homework, and hopefully some fun projects. It's going to be a great summer.

5. My apartment is clean right now.
When the apartment is clean, I feel so much happier. My husband is cleaner than I am and it's wonderful. It's not always clean, and there is always more to do, but having open spaces to work in and relax makes all of the difference.
